Apple Podcasts Downloader: Download Episodes as MP3

Paste an Apple Podcasts episode link and save the audio file the podcast publishes, usually MP3, exactly as released. Works on phone or computer, no app.

How to download an Apple Podcasts episode

  1. 01

    Copy the episode link

In Apple Podcasts, open the episode, tap ••• or the Share button, then Copy Link. On a computer, you can also copy the address of the episode’s page on podcasts.apple.com.

  2. 02

    Paste it above

Paste the link into the box above or tap Paste. It has to point to one episode: a link to the whole show isn’t enough, so open the episode first.

  3. 03

    Save the audio file

Tap the file to download it. On a phone it usually lands in your browser’s Downloads or the Files app; on a computer, in your Downloads folder.

The episode, as the podcast published it

  • The original audio file

SaveArrow saves the same file the podcast publishes for that episode, usually an MP3. It isn’t re-encoded, so the sound is exactly what the show released.

  • One episode, one file

Paste a link to the episode you want and get just that file. Handy for listening offline in another player, keeping an interview you liked, or saving an episode before a trip.

  • Phone or computer, no app

Open SaveArrow in Safari, Chrome or another browser on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac or Windows. There is nothing to install, and you don’t need an account or sign-up.

  • Nothing kept on our side

The file comes from where the podcast publishes it, straight to your device. SaveArrow doesn’t store episodes or keep a history of the links you paste, and download links expire after 10 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a podcast episode from Apple Podcasts?

Open the episode in Apple Podcasts, tap ••• or Share, then Copy Link. Paste the link into SaveArrow and save the audio file it shows.

Is the episode saved as MP3?

Usually, yes. SaveArrow saves the file the podcast publishes for the episode without re-encoding it, and most podcasts publish MP3; if a show uses another audio format, you get that format.

Where does the episode go on my iPhone or Android?

On iPhone, open Safari’s Downloads or the Downloads folder in the Files app; audio files stay there rather than in Photos. On Android, check your browser’s Downloads or the Files app. On a computer, look in Downloads.

Why doesn’t my Apple Podcasts link work?

The link has to point to a single episode, so a show page isn’t enough: open the episode and copy its link. Subscriber-only and paid episodes (Apple Podcasts Subscriptions) can’t be saved, and neither can links that aren’t podcast episodes.

Do I need an iPhone or the Podcasts app?

No. You only need the episode’s link, which you can also copy from its page on podcasts.apple.com in any browser. SaveArrow works in the browser on Android, Windows and Mac too, free and with no sign-up.

Can I share or re-upload an episode I downloaded?

Podcasts belong to their creators. Save episodes for your own listening, and only share or reuse what the show allows.
