TikTok to MP3: Download a TikTok’s Sound

Paste a public TikTok link and save its sound as MP3, or as the original file TikTok provides (usually M4A). The audio is exactly what plays in the post.

How to turn a TikTok into MP3

  1. 01

    Copy the TikTok link

Open the video or photo slideshow that plays the sound, tap the Share arrow on the right side, then Copy link.

  2. 02

    Paste it above

Paste the link into the box above, or tap Paste. Short vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links are fine.

  3. 03

    Choose MP3 or the original

Pick MP3 if your app or device asks for that format, or the original file to keep the audio as TikTok has it. It usually lands in your Downloads folder.

Just the sound, no video

  • MP3 or the original file

Keep the audio file exactly as TikTok provides it, usually M4A, or choose an MP3 that SaveArrow converts from that sound while you download. Both are offered for public posts that have sound.

  • The sound as it was posted

You get the post’s audio as published: the creator’s original sound, or the clip of a song the TikTok uses. If a video only plays a few seconds of a track, those seconds are what you save.

  • Slideshow sounds too

Photo mode posts have sound as well. Paste a slideshow link to save its sound, and if you want the pictures too, each photo can be saved separately from the same results.

  • Free in your browser

No app, no account and no sign-up. Open SaveArrow in Safari, Chrome or another browser on iPhone, iPad, Android or a computer and save the sound in a few taps.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a TikTok video to MP3?

Copy the post’s link in TikTok (Share → Copy link), paste it into SaveArrow and choose MP3. SaveArrow converts the post’s sound to MP3 as the file downloads.

Should I pick MP3 or M4A?

The M4A is the original audio file TikTok provides, unchanged. The MP3 is converted from it on the fly; pick it when an app or device asks for MP3.

Will I get the full song?

You get the audio exactly as it is in the post. If the TikTok uses a clip of a song, the file contains that clip, not the whole track; original sounds are saved as the creator posted them.

Where is the MP3 saved on my iPhone or Android?

On iPhone, open Safari’s Downloads or the Downloads folder in the Files app. On Android, look in your browser’s Downloads or the Files app. On a computer, it goes to your Downloads folder.

Why is there no audio option for some TikToks?

MP3 is only offered for posts that have sound. Private, deleted, age-restricted and followers-only posts and LIVE streams can’t be saved at all, so use a link to a public post.

Can I use a TikTok sound in my own videos?

That depends on who owns it. Songs belong to their artists and labels, and original sounds to their creators, so only save and reuse audio you’re allowed to use.
