What you can save from Instagram
Reels and video posts
Paste a link to a public Reel or a public video post from the feed. If a carousel post has several items, SaveArrow saves the first video in it.
MP4 in Instagram’s qualities
SaveArrow shows the video qualities Instagram provides for that post, often up to 720p or 1080p. Pick the one you want and save it as an MP4 file.
MP3 of the sound
Want only the audio of a Reel? When the Reel has sound, SaveArrow converts it to MP3 on the fly, so you can save it without the video.
Works on iPhone and Android
Open savearrow.com in Safari, Chrome or another browser on iPhone, iPad, Android or a computer. Free, with no app to install and no sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download Instagram Stories or Reels from private accounts?
No. Stories, highlights, private accounts and posts that require logging in to view aren’t supported. Only public Reels and video posts can be saved.
What quality are downloaded Reels?
You get the MP4 files Instagram provides for that Reel, often up to 720p or 1080p. The exact options depend on the post.
Can I download an Instagram Reel as MP3?
Yes, when the Reel has sound. Choose MP3 in the list and SaveArrow converts the audio as it downloads.
What about carousel posts with several videos?
For a post with several photos or videos, SaveArrow saves the first video only. The other items in the carousel can’t be saved here.
Where do downloaded Reels go on iPhone and Android?
Reels you save land in your browser’s Downloads: on iPhone that’s Safari’s Downloads, which also appear in the Files app; on Android, the browser’s Downloads or the Files app. From there, move the video to your gallery.
Can I repost a Reel I downloaded?
Only save Reels you have the right to use, such as your own or ones the creator allowed you to keep. Respect creators’ rights and Instagram’s terms, and don’t repost other people’s videos as your own.
