How to download a video from a Telegram channel

Copy the post link
In Telegram, open the public channel, long-press the post with the video and tap Copy Link. On a computer, right-click the post and choose Copy Post Link.

Paste the t.me link here
Put the link, which looks like t.me/channelname/123, into the field above and tap Download. SaveArrow reads the post and lists the files it can save.

Any post in a public Telegram channel works, as long as you can see it without joining. Paste the t.me link of the post and SaveArrow finds the video attached to it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download videos from private Telegram channels or groups?
No. Only posts in public channels can be saved. Private chats, groups, private channels, anything you have to join to see, and Telegram stories aren’t supported.
What format and quality will the Telegram video be?
You get an MP4: the same video file the channel posted, so the quality depends on what was uploaded. You can also choose MP3 to save only the sound.
Where do Telegram videos go on iPhone and Android?
On iPhone, saved files appear in Safari’s Downloads and the Files app; on Android, in the browser’s Downloads or the Files app. From there you can move the video to Photos or your gallery.
How do I get the link to a Telegram post?
Long-press the post in the Telegram app and tap Copy Link, or right-click it on a computer and choose Copy Post Link. The link looks like t.me/channelname/123; a link to the channel alone isn’t enough.
Why won’t my Telegram video download?
Check that the post is in a public channel and that you copied the post link, not the channel link. Posts from groups, private channels and stories can’t be saved, and download links expire after 10 minutes, so paste the link again for a fresh one.
Is it OK to repost videos from a Telegram channel?
Only save videos you have the right to use, such as your own channel’s posts or ones the owner lets you keep. Respect creators’ rights and don’t repost other people’s videos as your own.
