Acast Downloader: Download Episodes from Acast

Got a shows.acast.com or play.acast.com link? Paste it here to save that episode’s audio file, most often an MP3, straight to your phone or computer.

How to save an episode from Acast

  1. 01

    Open the episode page

Go to the show on shows.acast.com and open the episode you want, so the address contains /episodes/ and the episode’s name. Copy that address, or a play.acast.com link someone sent you.

  2. 02

    Paste the Acast link

Put the link in the box at the top of this page. SaveArrow checks the episode and shows its audio file, with an MP3 option next to it.

  3. 03

    Save the audio

Choose the file to download it. Computers put it in Downloads; phones use the browser’s downloads, which on iPhone means the Downloads folder in the Files app.

What you get from an Acast link

  • Episode audio as published

SaveArrow fetches the audio file the podcast publishes through Acast for that episode, usually an MP3. You hear the same recording that plays on the show’s Acast page.

  • Two kinds of Acast links

Both shows.acast.com/…/episodes/… pages and play.acast.com links are accepted. Copy whichever one you have, from the browser’s address bar or from a message someone sent you.

  • MP3 every time

The result always includes an MP3. If the episode is already MP3, it’s the same file as the original; if not, it’s converted while it downloads, into a format most audio players open.

  • Resumable downloads

If your connection drops partway through a long episode, the download can pick up where it stopped. Download links are created fresh each time and expire after 10 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download an episode from Acast?

Open the episode on shows.acast.com, copy the address and paste it into SaveArrow. Then tap the audio file to save it to your device.

Can I download Acast+ episodes?

No. Episodes for Acast+ subscribers and private feeds can’t be saved. SaveArrow works with public episodes that anyone can play on Acast.

What format are Acast episodes saved in?

Usually MP3, the most common format for the episode file. You get the original file plus an MP3 option, which is the same file when the original is already MP3.

Where do I find the downloaded episode on iPhone or Android?

On iPhone, open the Files app and go to Downloads. On Android, check the browser’s downloads list or the Download folder. From there, open it in your podcast app or any audio player.

Does it work with a link to the whole show?

No, it needs one episode. On shows.acast.com, open the episode first so the link contains /episodes/, then copy it.

Can I re-upload an Acast episode?

Podcasts belong to their creators and publishers. A downloaded episode is for your own listening; publishing it or using it elsewhere needs their permission.
