Steam Trailer Downloader: Download Game Trailers as MP4

Paste a game’s Steam store page link and save its first trailer as MP4, up to 1080p, or the trailer’s sound as MP3. It saves trailers only, not games.

How to download a Steam trailer

  1. 01

    Copy the store page link

Open the game’s page on the Steam store in your browser and copy the address from the browser bar. It looks like store.steampowered.com/app/ followed by a number and the game’s name.

  2. 02

    Paste it above

Put the link in the box at the top of this page and tap Download. SaveArrow picks the first trailer on that store page and lists the MP4 and the MP3.

  3. 03

Save it, keep the page open

Choose the MP4 or the MP3. Steam trailers are assembled while they download, so leave this page open until the file is finished.

What you can save from Steam

  • The trailer as MP4, up to 1080p

The first trailer on a game’s store page is saved as an MP4 up to 1080p, so you can watch it again offline or play it on a bigger screen without opening Steam.

  • The trailer’s sound as MP3

Some trailers are worth keeping for the music or the narration alone. Choose MP3 and SaveArrow converts the trailer’s sound while it downloads, with nothing to install.

  • Store page links only

Paste a store.steampowered.com/app link and you get that game’s first trailer. Steam Broadcasting and live streams, community uploads and screenshots aren’t supported, and SaveArrow never downloads the game itself.

  • Free, in any browser

No account, no sign-up and no app: paste the link in Safari, Chrome or another browser on a computer, iPhone or Android. SaveArrow doesn’t store trailers, and download links expire after 10 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download a game from Steam with this?

No. SaveArrow saves trailers from Steam store pages, not games, demos or any other Steam files. Paste a store page link to get the game’s first trailer.

Which trailer do I get if a game has several?

SaveArrow saves the first trailer on the store page. The other trailers and the screenshots on that page aren’t offered.

What format and quality is the trailer?

The trailer is saved as MP4, up to 1080p, and you can choose MP3 for just the sound. The file is assembled while it downloads, so keep the page open until it’s done.

Where is the trailer saved on iPhone, Android or PC?

On a computer, it goes to your browser’s Downloads folder. On iPhone, check Safari’s Downloads or the Files app; on Android, your browser’s Downloads or the Files app.

Can I use a Steam trailer in my own video?

Trailers belong to the game’s publisher. Saving one to watch yourself is fine, but ask the publisher before you reuse it in a video, a stream or an ad.

Why doesn’t my Steam link work?

Make sure it’s a store page link (store.steampowered.com/app/…), not a community, broadcast or screenshot link, which aren’t supported. Copy the game’s store page address again and retry.
