iHeart Podcast Downloader: Download Episodes

Paste a link to an episode on iHeart and save it as an audio file, usually an MP3. This tool is for podcast episodes only: live stations and music aren’t included.

How to download an iHeart podcast episode

  1. 01

    Open a podcast episode

In the iHeart app or on iheart.com, open the podcast and then the episode you want. Copy its link with Share, or copy the iheart.com/podcast/…/episode/… address from your browser.

  2. 02

    Paste the episode link

Paste it into the field at the top. A link to a radio station, a song or the show’s main page won’t work; it has to be one episode.

  3. 03

    Save the file

Tap the audio file at the top of the results. It downloads to your browser’s Downloads folder, ready to play in any podcast or audio app.

Podcasts from iHeart, one episode at a time

  • Podcast episodes only

SaveArrow handles podcast episodes on iHeart, the ones with an iheart.com/podcast/…/episode/… link. Live radio stations, music and iHeart+ or other paid content aren’t supported.

  • The episode’s audio file

You get the audio file behind the episode, usually an MP3, plus an MP3 option that matches the original when it’s already MP3. Handy for listening on a commute without streaming.

  • Picks up after interruptions

Long episodes take a while on slow mobile data. iHeart episode downloads can be resumed, so if the connection drops you can continue rather than download the whole file again.

  • Free, right in the browser

Use SaveArrow in Safari, Chrome or another browser on iPhone, iPad, Android or a computer. It’s free, there’s nothing to sign up for, and it keeps no record of your links.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a podcast from iHeart?

Open the podcast episode on iheart.com or in the iHeart app, copy its link and paste it into SaveArrow. Tap the audio file to save it.

Can I record or download iHeartRadio live stations?

No. SaveArrow doesn’t save live radio stations or music from iHeart. It only downloads podcast episodes, from their episode links.

Are iHeart podcast episodes saved as MP3?

Usually, yes. The episode’s own file is most often an MP3, and SaveArrow always lists an MP3 option as well.

Why can’t I download some iHeart episodes?

Episodes that are part of iHeart+ or other paid content can’t be saved. Also check that you copied an episode link, not a station, a song or a show page.

Where is the episode saved on iPhone and Android?

On iPhone, Safari puts it in the Downloads folder of the Files app. On Android, find it in the browser’s downloads or your file manager’s Download folder, then open it in an audio app.

Can I share iHeart podcast episodes I downloaded?

The episodes belong to their creators and publishers. Keep downloads for personal listening and share only what the show lets you use.
